A full expression of our core beliefs can be found here, in the Baptist Faith and Message.  In summary, we believe:

… the Bible is inspired by God and inerrant in content.
(Psalm 19:7-10, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21)
… the one true God exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1:1-3, John 1:1-3, Acts 16:6-10)
… human beings are created in the image of God to know God.
(Genesis 1:26, psalm 8:3-8, James 3:9)
… human beings are separated from God by sin.
(Genesis 6:5, Romans 3:23, James 2:11)
… Jesus Christ died for sinners and rose from the dead.
(Acts 5:30, Romans 5:8, Galatians 3:13)
… salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
(Acts 4:12, Galatians 2:15-16, Ephesians 2:8-9)
… baptism is the immersion of a believer in water.
(Acts 2:38, Romans 6:1-4, Colossians 2:11-12)
… the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
(Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 12:29-31, Acts 1:8)
… one day Jesus Christ will return for his church.
(John 14:1-3, 1 Thessalonians 4:12-18, Revelation 21:1-4)

First Baptist Kingfisher and Coronavirus

We respond with faith and not fear. Psalm 56:3 says When I am afraid I will put my trust in you. God is still in control.

We respond with wisdom to crisis and not panic. We will take the following steps to protect people during this crisis: We will practice safety precautions and everyday preventive actions as we see outlined from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO). Beginning now, we encourage people to limit physical contact. At this point our goal is to establish habits that will reduce everyone’s risk.

Beginning Sunday May 17th we will begin reopening for 1 service time at 10:00am. We will continue to make use of all online resources to continue to provide you with spiritual growth opportunities. If you have not done so please follow us now on FacebookTwitter, and Youtube.  You can also view our service on our Live Stream page of our website.  If you are feeling ill, please stay at home.  We are very excited to see everyone, but don't want to put others at risk.

We respond with compassion and not apathy. Any crisis provides the opportunity to minister to people with compassion and share Jesus with confidence. We want to maximize the ministry opportunity God has given us.
